That's a good move of Diesel Communication. People are enough smart to say that stupidity is a lot of fun. Thanks of posting this billboard and subway installations. Few weeks ago, I saw these ads too on my WaD Magazine (french/english issue).
A mind boggling inane campaign strategy that celebrates and even encourages stupidity over substance... Its a Sarah Palin jeans campaign...but then again its aimed at people who think that the brand of jeans they are wearing actually matter. Now that's stupid.
I couldn't have a different reaction. I don't think it's a Sarah Palin campaign at all. I think it's the opposite of that. While some of the executions fail (the conehead one in particular), it seems to be an interesting take on being yourself, of doing something different. I like them.
this says it all..."smart critiques. stupid creates." i love the simple and honest truth in this campaign and expect the know-it-all-never-done-shits to bash the shit out of the campaign. well played diesel.
I'm walking down the stairs and see an advert telling be to be stupid.I think, 'yeah ok I'll be stupid'So I slide down the handrail. And crack my skull at the bottom.Getting blood all over my jeans.I now feel really stupid. And need to buy new jeans.
I think its a solid campaign that hits the market they're targeting very well. Its not targetting the people who want to sit in a cubicle from 9-5 and work for "the man." Its a campaign targeting the ambitious young professionals who are willing to take a risk and be called "stupid" by those who accept status quo.
Smart critiques, stupid creates
